“Waiting room IV”

In 2015 painting “Waiting Room” was purchased by the National Museum in Gdańsk for a new collection of paintings by young Polish artists who debuted in the 21st century.

In 2015, the National Museum in Gdańsk signed an agreement with Basil Alkazzi, an outstanding artist, humanist and art patron, to build a collection of contemporary paintings in the Department of Modern Art and to finance it from the Basil Alkazzi & Halima Nałęcz Purchase Fund. The Museum’s collection consists of 153 paintings by 109 artists. The exhibition of the collection took place in the National Museum in Gdańsk, in the Department of Modern Art (Abbots’ Palace) in 2019.
